Role & ImpactIn this Technical Services, Meat role you will support field sales in the meat segment by translating technical insight into practical customer value. Your work will blend hands‑on trial execution, fermentation characterization, and project leadership while aligning with global stakeholders to help scale learnings and strengthen our solutions portfolio.
Your key responsibilities- Run and support new culture trials to validate performance in customer processes
- Use technical equipment to characterize fermentations and interpret results
- Participate in customer meetings to understand needs, ask the right technical questions, and recommend solutions
- Manage internal lab/data collection projects to build strong evidence for product selection and value propositions
- Collaborate and align activities with global stakeholders (including Global Applications) to share learnings and drive consistency
- Must‑haves (day‑one requirements):
- BS degree in meat/food science, biology, microbiology, or a similar field
- 3+ years of experience in meat processing/manufacturing (or closely related)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, , SAP, data analytics (JMP)
- Strong analytical skills with accurate reporting and clear documentation habits
- Curiosity and follow‑up mindset; ability to work independently with drive and initiative
- Technical confidence to ask the right questions, connect data to decisions, and turn findings into recommendations
- Essential competencies:
- Technical understanding and structured problem solving
- Ability to translate technical data into practical, customer‑relevant recommendations
- Energy, passion, and a positive, collaborative attitude
- Nice‑to‑have:
- Experience planning and executing customer‑facing trials across multiple sites
- Familiarity with fermentation culture applications and/or bioprotection use cases
- Project coordination skills across cross‑functional and global stakeholder groups
- Strong presentation skills—communicating technical insights to commercial and operations audiences
- A role with real customer impact—solving production challenges and demonstrating the value of biosolutions
- Close collaboration with commercial leaders and global technical experts

- Customer‑driven field work with approximately 40% travel
- A mix of on‑site customer support, office‑based analysis and reporting, and lab/data collection responsibilities
- Expected base salary: $110,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience and skills)
- Target bonus: 10%
