Kids At Heart Learning Center is focused on Early Education and Child Development. We are looking to hire someone who shares our passion for education and desires to make a difference in the lives of the children who enter their classroom.

When you join our team as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you will:

-Join in a cohesive teaching team with another qualified and passionate individual to conduct a classroom with approximately 20 students.
-Aide in the creation of lesson plans utilizing a highly rated curriculum and focusing on developmentally appropriate practices
-Support students and parents through this important learning journey to prepare them for the transition on to Kindergarten
-Build positive relationships with students, families, and co-teachers
-Work closely with the director for guidance and direction if needed
-Build students understanding of core concepts through interactive education and hands on learning
-Complete assessments to monitor your students progress
-Create a clean, safe, and organized space for learning
Position Requirements
High School, 1 to 2 Years work experience
Qualifications:

A pre-Kindergarten teacher must have obtained ONE of the following qualifications...

1. A minimum of a High School Diploma and 2 years of child care experience.

2. An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.

3. An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.

4. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.

5. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.

Required Skills and Experience:

-Minimum of 2 years of child care/ babysitting/nannying experience
-CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
-Poses adequate communication and problem solving skills
-Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, meet children near their eye level for communication, see and hear children in direct care group, etc.
-Teaching indoor and outdoor
