Overviewof Select Medical Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals Select Medical's Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to best address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges for individuals with:Brain InjurySpinal Cord InjuryStrokeAmputationNeurological DisordersOrthopedic Conditions Multiple Traumas Responsibilities The Registered Dietitian Supervisor provides quality nutritional care to patients, including the assessment of nutritional needs, the development of medical nutrition therapies and implements these plans with the multi-interdisciplinary team. Participates in multi-interdisciplinary rounds. Provides nutrition education to patients and families. Responsible for supervision and mentoring of the Dietitians and Food Service Supervisors who report directly to the Registered Dietitian Supervisor. Acts as a Food Service Supervisor, as needed. Assists in implementation of quality control measures in order to identify and rectify problems. Assists the Regional Director of Food and Nutrition with staffing for dietitians and food service workers, including hiring, scheduling and assessments as needed. Acts administratively in the absence of the Regional Director. Implements established departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Follows standard practices and complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. Qualifications Current and valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Previous clinical nutrition experience required. One or more years experience in supervision preferred.
