Clinical Manager, Registered Nurse (RN)- Cath Lab/Special Procedures
This is a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager day position offering full benefits.
Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida.
Responsibilities include:
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for coordinating the activities and providing clinical and administrative leadership and expertise in one or more defined areas of the facility. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.
- Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals.
- Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Under the direction of the Department Manager and Medical Director, the Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible for assisting the cardiologist and other allied professionals in the assessment, planning, executing and evaluating the care of interventional patients.
- Must be willing to cross train and float to other imaging service areas to meet the needs of the facility.
- Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calls a stroke alert.
- Performs and documents the NIHSS, administers and monitors thrombolytic therapy if patient deemed a candidate, prepares patient for end‑vascular treatment as indicated, and assumes patient care of the stroke alert while in the Interventional Radiology Department.
- Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke‑related training annually.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. BSN preferred.
- Current Florida state nursing license.
- Certification in area of specialty preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in acute care specialty nursing. One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty.
