Wolviston Management Services are supporting a leading industrial organisation in the search for a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in fuel and combustion systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically driven environment where safety, reliability and continuous improvement are at the forefront of operations.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimising combustion and fuel systems to ensure safe, efficient and compliant plant operation. Working closely with operations and maintenance teams, you will support both planned and reactive activities across site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, inspect and troubleshoot fuel and combustion systems
  • Support safe and efficient operation of burners, boilers and associated plant
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance strategies to improve asset reliability
  • Assist with system optimisation to enhance performance and reduce downtime
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSE standards and site procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience within fuel and combustion systems in an industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding capability
  • Experience working on burners, furnaces or similar equipment
  • Boiler maintenance experience (highly desirable)
  • Good understanding of health, safety and compliance standards
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • Time-served or qualified Mechanical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
