Essential Functions

• Assess:
  Performs assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills) and gathers information from the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan:
  Uses assessment information and critical‑thinking skills to develop an individualized plan of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician.
• Implement:
  Directs the interdisciplinary team through delegation and coordination, providing or delegating care consistent with the plan, guidelines, and licensure provisions. Sets priorities and manages time, supplies, and resources.
• Evaluate:
  Reviews patient response to interventions, assessing achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, and satisfaction. Revises the plan as needed.
• Professionalism:
  Promotes the nursing profession, integrates legal and ethical standards, complies with regulatory standards, and provides accurate documentation.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of employment.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• NRP certification.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Current NICU experience strongly preferred.
• BSN required as of the last update on 4/27/2025 for new hires.

• See and read information, labels, and patient needs; operate monitors.
• Communicate verbally and listen quickly in emergencies.
• Use manual dexterity for delicate equipment, including frequent computer use and typing.
• Lift, transfer, and carry patients and supplies, including heavy items.
• Walk, assist with transporting patients, and navigate crowded spaces.
• Stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
• For driving roles:
  Drive vehicles, read signs, and navigate traffic safely.

Location: Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital, Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 Pay Range: $37.17 – $56.17 per hour
