Contract Data QA Engineer (Informatica to dbt Migration)

Immediate start;
Project through end of February

A fast-moving data team is standing up a specialized strike force to validate a major migration from SQL Server + Informatica to Redshift + dbt. We need a senior Data QA/Engineering expert who can move quickly, build a pragmatic validation framework, and keep throughput on track.

What You’ll Do

• Build a repeatable validation playbook (row counts, aggregates, column checks, sampled diffs)
• Run SQL Server to Redshift/dbt reconciliations with lightweight automation (dbt tests, SQL, Python, data-diff tools)
• Partner closely with migration engineers to surface discrepancies + drive remediation
• Track daily/weekly validation progress, defects, and sign-off readiness
• Document findings so analytics + ops trust the cutover

What We’re Looking For

• Senior-level Data QA or Data Engineering experience
• Expert SQL (SQL Server + Redshift)
• Hands-on experience validating large-scale warehouse migrations
• Strong reconciliation + data-diff skills
• Ability to move fast while maintaining accuracy
