Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Liaison/MRB Engineer or Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Wichita, KS. This requisition may be filled as either a Liaison/MRB Engineer (level
2) or a Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer (level
3) based on the qualifications below.

Key Responsibilities:

* The Liaison/MRB Engineer will be responsible for dispositioning discrepant supplier material tags.

* The successful candidate will have experience designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from advanced composite and metallic materials.

* Tasks will include interfacing with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups (such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel) in the design center and build facilities.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.

* Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus. Basic Qualifications for a Liaison Engineer Level 2:
* Liaison/MRB Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related professional/military experience, to include a background in advanced composite airframe structures; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.

* Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.

* Experience with military specs and standards.

* Experience with repair processes for advanced composite materials and processes used in aerospace structures.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment. Basic Qualifications for a Principal Liaison Engineer Level 3:
* Principal Liaison/MRB Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5+ years related professional/military experience, to include a background in advanced composite airframe structures; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of related professional/military experience.

* Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility.

* Experience with military specs and standards.

* Experience with repair processes for advanced composite materials and processes used in aerospace structures.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Current, in-scope DoD Secret clearance (or higher)

* Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

* Current NGAS MRB "EN" buyoff authority

* Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
