First International Bank & Trust is seeking a Personal Banker to join our Harvey branch. This position is an important part of the team, providing friendly, dependable customer service while also supporting check printing operations that help keep our branch running smoothly.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of customer interaction and operational work, values accuracy and consistency, and takes pride in supporting both customers and internal bank processes. The position is approximately 35% retail banking and 65% check printing and operational support.

Our Harvey branch offers consistent weekday hours, and a close knit, team oriented environment focused on serving the local community.

Key Responsibilities Retail Banking Responsibilities (approximately 35%)
  • Provide a welcoming, professional experience for customers in the lobby and drive up.
  • Accurately process routine banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Build relationships with customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Assist customers with basic account questions and problem resolution.
  • Follow established procedures to verify identification, protect customer information, and prevent fraud.
  • Balance cash drawers and follow cash handling best practices.
  • Support overall branch operations by working collaboratively with teammates to ensure daily coverage.
Check Printing & Operational Responsibilities (approximately 65%)
  • Perform check printing duties with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Ensure checks are processed, printed, and handled according to bank policies and internal controls.
  • Maintain organized records related to check printing activities.
  • Serve as a reliable operational support role that helps ensure continuity of branch services.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, cash handling, or banking preferred.
  • Prior banking or financial institution experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly communication style.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling confidential or operational work.
  • Reliability, dependability, and strong work ethic.
  • Comfort working with cash, routine transactions, and basic computer systems.
  • Willingness to learn and support both customer facing and behind the scenes responsibilities.
