We are looking for forward-thinking talent to join our organization and support the fast-growing HVAC business in North America.
What you will do- Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers.
- Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Provide recommendations and solutions, including upselling opportunities, and give quotes to support those recommendations.
- Maintain factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) and pursue monetary rewards and advancement.
- Utilize vibration equipment to troubleshoot drive lines and use dial indicators for mechanical shaft alignment.
- Travel 10% to 20% to support branch customer activities, installation, and repair.
- Attend and pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
- Keep abreast of HVAC product knowledge and work with local market mechanics, servicemen, and apprentices.
- Prioritize safety in all operations.
- Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL‑CIO.
- Dedicated member of a North America Branch team, willing to learn and be responsible for system troubleshooting, repair, and aftermarket services.
- Minimum of three (3) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
- Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing.
- Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators and other tools.
- Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drive lines.
- Ability to write and communicate problem, cause, and corrective actions to customers.
- Can provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
- Self‑starter with a passion to learn and apply skills on the job.
- Prioritizes safety in all forms.
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.
$56.97 hourly, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
