Summary:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development and deployment of manufacturing test solutions for electromechanical systems. This role involves building test fixtures, supporting PCBA design, developing test software, and assisting with production deployment across internal sites and Contract Manufacturers (CMs).

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in test development, debugging, and manufacturing support, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical schematics and PCBAs for manufacturing test fixtures and validation systems.
  • Own end-to-end hardware bring-up, including component selection, layout reviews, soldering/rework, and board-level debugging.
  • Build and integrate test fixtures including power distribution, relays, multiplexing, signal conditioning, and measurement systems.
  • Develop and support automated test software (Python preferred) to control instruments and execute test sequences.
  • Perform deep electrical debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and power analyzers to isolate failures at board and system level.
  • Support manufacturing deployment, including troubleshooting issues at CM sites, improving yield, and resolving production failures.
  • Analyze test data and failure trends to drive design improvements and test coverage enhancements.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 4+ years of hands-on experience in hardware design and test engineering.
  • Expertise in schematic design and PCBA development (Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in board bring-up, soldering, rework, and hardware debugging at component and signal level.
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design, including power circuits, signal integrity, and noise considerations.
  • Hands-on experience with test instrumentation (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, electronic loads, logic analyzer).
  • Experience building test fixtures involving relays, muxes, DAQ systems, and interface boards.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language for test automation.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing environments and Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet).
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) or production environments.
  • Familiarity with data logging, databases, or test result analysis.
  • Experience with embedded systems, sensors, or motor systems.
Physical & Environment Requirements:
  • Travel 20-40% Domestic
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
