Job Description - RN Clinical Coordinator - Nursery - $6K Bonus )

Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, an 18 minute drive from Lexington, KY, is searching for an RN Clinical Coordinator to join our Center for Women and Babies in our Nursery unit. This is a Full‑Time position on day shift and you would be a member of a highly skilled team of nurses. Your graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current RN license, charge nurse or leadership experience, experience in a Women’s Care environment, current BLS certification, and obstetrical or neonatal coursework are the minimum requirements.

• Assists the Director in staffing needs, patient flow, assist in data collection in compliance with PI plans and identifying opportunities for improvements
• Responsible for the monthly schedules and will have input on evaluations of staff members
• Work with the House Coordinators to ensure adequate staffing as well as supervise the duties of the staff
• Assist staff in patient assessment and the planning for nursing interventions and timely discharge planning
• Works with the staff toward problem resolution
• Assists the Director in assessing quality of care provided, in identifying staffs education needs and in evaluating staffs performance
• Make rounds of all patients and assist in resolution of patient/family complaints
• Complies and enforces compliances with hospital rules and regulations and Standards of Practice and Care
• Assists the Director in identifying current and future needs of the unit
• Can assume responsibility for Director in his/her absence
• Has the responsibility and accountability for coordinating and/or providing total nursing care based on established standards of care as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient
• Assigns nursing personnel to provide direct patient care
• Creates a work staff to share in patient-care responsibilities
• Encourages nurses to seek opportunities for patient care improvement
• Creates a culture of compassion and teamwork
• Assumes nursing manager duties while nursing manager is on leave/out of office
• Participates in on-boarding process for newly hired nursing staff
• Completes continuing education courses as needed
• Attends staff meetings

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed in the State of Kentucky as an RN
• ACLS certified within 6 months of hire
• NRP certified within 6 months of hire
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years in Nursery/NICU setting
• 1 year Charge Nurse experience
• Proficient in health care software used in maintaining electronic medical records
• Effective communication skills; ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others; ability to problem solve; prefer knowledge of PI principles
