RN Labor and Delivery – Full Time – NIGHTS - $6K Bonus

Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, 18 minutes drive from Lexington, KY, is searching for an RN to join the Labor and Delivery unit (Center for Women and Babies). This is a full‑time night shift position (7 p – 7 a).

Minimum requirements:

graduate from an accredited school of nursing, current RN license and BLS certification, and obstetrical or neonatal coursework.

• Ensure delivery of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Revise plan of patient care as needed.
• Provide compassion to patients and families.
• Attend staff meetings as needed.
• Assess every patient entering the unit and determine priorities of care based on physical and psychological needs.
• Ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available for patient care.
• Ensure safety of patients, co‑workers and significant others.
• Implement interventions based on changing patient needs in a safe and effective manner.
• Provide ongoing teaching to patients, families, and others, including discharge plan and follow‑up options.
• Promote education and sharing of knowledge with orienting nurses, students, and pre‑hospital care providers.
• Maintain competence and adherence to established standards of practice.
• Perform duties outside usual areas as needed when qualified.
• Schedule on‑call shifts to meet staffing requirements when acuity or census indicates need.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Proof of completion of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed RN in the State of Kentucky.
• BLS certified; NRP and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Six months of Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work effectively in a stressful environment.
