The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics is a senior member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders for the delivery of business intelligence, advanced analytics and manufacturing intelligence solutions used to enable and support critical business functions and processes across the enterprise. This position requires expertise in areas of business operations, business processes, business & manufacturing technologies, critical business data, and key operational reporting across core business functions and channels of distribution; (i.e., Home Center, Dealer/Distributor, New Construction & Direct-to-Consumer). Responsibilities include; strategy development, enterprise architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, solution development, service support, application security and IT compliance. As a leader in the company this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring the solutions and services strategy is fully aligned and positioned to deliver compelling business value.
This position will be responsible for the company’s analytics solutions and services that deliver data-driven insights. Lead the development and implementation of an enterprise analytics strategy, leveraging leading technologies to achieve company goals and improve critical business functions. Develop and execute to a comprehensive roadmap; collaborate with business and IT leaders to design and develop information management capabilities and deploy the governance of key business metrics, drive the deployment of automated dashboards and self-service analytic capabilities, and engineer data-driven processes that drive business value. Develop standards, tools, and governance for capturing, modeling, storing, and delivering data for the enterprise including identifying data-related business requirements and service standards, develop a high-level enterprise data model and conceptual views of related data sub-architectures (e.g., database, data integration, data warehouse/business intelligence, reporting, metadata, and content management architectures). Data engineering work includes creating data architectures for databases and data warehouses (i.e., designing and specifying the overall database/data warehouse structure based on functional and technical requirements); develop logical and physical data models; develop strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation; manage data migrations/conversions and troubleshooting data processing issues.
As the leader of the Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics team, this role must partner with business leadership to understand business direction and translate to information technology needs; define the strategy and roadmap that supports and delivers on the company’s strategic objectives; work with business stakeholders to define business cases and justification for key projects; take a lead role in defining, prioritizing, organizing initiatives; and be accountable for solution delivery. Provide technical and solution architecture direction during end-to-end life-cycle solution development to ensure quality of delivery and adherence to best practices. Lead and direct a team of professionals who support, maintain, and deliver solutions and services within a large, complex technical ecosystem. Participate in overall business planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology as it relates to the organization's competitive position. Collaborate with the IT leadership team to define the long-term organization-wide capabilities needed and develop and implement the overall strategy and roadmap to ensure optimal technology operations and return on investment.
The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and must be a strong & visible leader, highly flexible, results-oriented with the ability to provide insight and support on complex business and technical issues. As a leader and technical specialist, this role is responsible to proactively lead multiple technology initiatives with critical focus on managing; people, scope, schedules, resources, investments, and risks.
