• Own and support daily heat treat operations, ensuring processes run consistently and meet material specifications.
• Develop, monitor, and optimize heat treat cycles (hardening, tempering, annealing) to improve quality and efficiency.
• Lead pyrometry activities in compliance with internal standards.
• Maintain furnace performance through equipment tuning, troubleshooting, and preventive calibration practices.
• Ensure full compliance with NADCAP and internal quality standards; support audits and corrective actions.
• Manage and improve documentation, traceability, and process records for heat treat operations.
• Drive digitization of heat treat data and workflows using systems like Solumina and SAP platforms.
• Partner with quality and operations teams to investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance on material behavior and heat treat outcomes to cross‑functional teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase repeatability, reduce variation, and enhance overall throughput.

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of materials science/metallurgy experience.
• Working knowledge of pyrometry and heat treat process controls (e.g., AMS 2750 standards).
• Familiarity with quality systems in regulated environments (NADCAP experience preferred).

$85,000 - $95,000 per year

This role is considered an on‑site, first shift position located in Windsor Locks, CT.

• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required first shift hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
• Shop floor environment, which may include extensive walking and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Due to the nature of the work, 5% travel is required.
