Job Description
The Host Family Coordinator promotes, recruits, coordinates, monitors, and maintains Host Family residential and respite services within their designated geographical or case management assignment. The Coordinator works with family locations, facilitates matches between Home sharers (adults/children) and approved Home Provider families, and collaborates with community partners to support Home sharer's needs and goals. The Program Administrative Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to designated locations, assists Program Managers and Coordinators, maintains confidential program files, and ensures timely completion of government‑partner deadlines.
This is a permanent full‑time position that comprises two roles:
Host Family Coordinator (28 hours per week) and Program Administrative Clerk (7 hours per week).
Compensation
Host Family Coordinator: $30.07–$35.90 per hour
Program Administrative Clerk: $23.03–$27.45 per hour
Qualifications
Full G driver’s license.
Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Social Work, Disability Studies, or related field.
At least three years of related experience (including two and a half years prior experience and six months on the job).
Experience working with Behaviour Support Plans and CPI techniques.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure, independently and in a team.
Comfortable working with people under significant personal stress or challenging behaviours.
Frequent travel within area; occasional travel within province.
