As a Special Education Teacher in Windsor Public Schools, your mission will focus on maximizing learning for students with disabilities while fostering their growth in a supportive environment. This  teaching position emphasizes effective instructional methods and collaboration.

Windsor High School is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join its team, pending budget approval for the upcoming school year. This important role involves assessing and addressing student needs, creating tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and providing necessary accommodations for diverse learning styles. You will lead family engagement and coordinate with educators to promote positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to strengthen student learning

• Facilitate assessments for academic and behavioral support

• Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs

• Coordinate with external agencies as needed

• Maintain detailed records and facilitate family communication

Requirements:

• CT certification (065 or 165) in Special Education

• Strong grasp of educational laws and student assessments

• Collaborative skills for IEP development and team engagement

• Ability to communicate effectively with students' families
