The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking motivated Physician/Clinical Assistants available to work additional shifts at Grace Hospital, Emergency Department. This opportunity is open to PA/Cl.A.s currently employed by the WRHA to work above their EFT at Grace Hospital. Suitable applicants will be able to begin work with minimal orientation.

• The Physician/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic, therapeutic investigations and interventions. Duties of this position can/will include performing history and physical exams in the Emergency Department (Mental Health).
• Physician/Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational rounds. Administrative requirements will include standard of practice recordings of all patient encounters; these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where/when available. Assistants must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

This is not a medical assistant or medical office assistant position. This is not a training opportunity.

• Must be currently employed in the WRHA as a PA/Cl.A.
• At least one year recent experience working as a PA/Cl.A. in Mental Health required.
• Experience with EPR preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
