Tasks, Role and Responsibilities
  • Support firmwide Talent Acquisition and recruitment efforts, including job postings, interview scheduling, and delivering a memorable candidate experience.
  • Champion Employee Engagement: help design, organize and execute inclusive team-building events and initiatives that foster connection, engagement and cultivate a strong sense of community.
  • Develop and maintain an annual event calendar for employee-centric events supported and well-attended by BCV stakeholders.
  • Support our employee journey; from making their first impression a great one, to seamless onboarding and supporting their growth at BCV, ensuring every employee’s experience is positive.
  • Handle confidential employee records with care, maintain documentation, track HR metrics, support compliance tasks, and jump into other admin projects as needed.
  • Approach every task with a service-first attitude, actively spotting opportunities to improve processes, close gaps, and elevate the employee experience.
  • Assist with content curation and serve as an additional set of eyes on the creation, proofreading, and editing of internal and external communications—such as email updates, announcements, and slide decks—to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with BCV’s culture and tone.
  • Bring creativity & storytelling to the table, helping convey our company culture and values in ways that are both authentic and engaging—so our story rings true in every message.
  • Embrace a variety of tasks and projects as this role evolves with our people and our business.
Critical

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in HR, people operations or client service is an asset, but not required for the right personality and attitude.
  • A true “people person” with exceptional communication skills, an optimistic outlook, (and a terrific sense of humour.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and top-notch organizational skills.
  • Eager to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic organization.
  • Proven analytical, planning and time management skills.
  • Confidence to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • A service mindset—proactively identifying needs, offering support, and lifting others up.
  • Creative flair with a talent for expressing ideas and telling stories that align with BCV’s voice and tone.
  • A knack for building trust and creating a supportive, inclusive environment.
Educational Requirement:
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, recent graduate or early HR professional with a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
