Nurse Practitioner at NorWest Co-op

Join Nor West Co-op Community Health as a Nurse Practitioner in a permanent part-time position, providing episodic care and promoting health in the Inkster/Seven Oaks community.

In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will deliver high-quality, autonomous clinical care within an interdisciplinary team at the Walk-In Connected Care Clinic. Applicants should have at least five years of recent nursing experience and a Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Stream. Key responsibilities include diagnosing, prescribing, teaching health strategies, and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply advanced nursing theories to patient care

• Autonomously order tests and prescribe medications

• Implement health promotion and illness prevention strategies

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members

• Provide education and problem-solving support

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner focus

• Active CRNM registration and extended practice competencies

• Strong communication and advocacy skills

• Current CPR certification
