Essential Responsibilities   Review vendor documentation, including Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis, for various items purchased at the Plant including rocket motor hardware components and chemical raw ingredients.
Inspect received hardware components for conformance to specifications by examining workmanship and finishes.
Inspect received hardware components for conformance to drawings by measuring dimensions using a variety of methods and gauges.
Inspect in-process parts and assemblies for conformance to written process instructions.
Will do tool calibration as required.
Communicate results and non-conformances to Engineering and Laboratory staff by verbal and written methods including computerized databases.

Position Requirements   Previous inspection experience in an aerospace environment will be considered an asset.
Formal training in Inspection and Geometric Dimensioning.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications including an understanding of mechanical drawings, dimensional requirements, tolerances, workmanship standards.
Ability to use a variety of standard measurement tools including Vernier calipers, micrometers and dial bore gauges.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with industrial production and processing.
Quality Inspector Certification – Red River or equivalent an asset.
Meet visual acuity requirements specified in QSP 12.0.
