As a Junior Archaeologist, your responsibilities will include conducting archaeological surveys, hand excavating test pits, and performing artifact analysis under expert guidance. This position also requires preparation of necessary permits and reports while promoting safety protocols during field activities. Travel to various sites is an essential part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in field-based archaeological activities
• Conduct hand excavation of test units
• Assist with interpretation and documentation of findings
• Prepare Archaeological Field Research Permits
• Promote adherence to health and safety practices
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Capable of physical work outdoors
• Excellent communication abilities
• Preferable Master’s degree in Archaeology or Anthropology
• Familiarity with GIS software is advantageous
