Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Worcester, MA. The position offers weekly pay, a competitive benefits package, and a rewarding driving career.
Compensation & Benefits- Drivers are paid weekly.
- Hourly base pay: $26.00 per hour plus $1 for every three certifications or endorsements.
- Overtime is paid after 40 hours.
- Per diem: $50.00 per night.
- Overnight accommodations are provided by Ryder when trips exceed local hours.
- Paid travel and training are included.
- Tenure bonus: $1,000 each year of continuous employment from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31.
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, with flexibility required. - Starting salary is $65,000, with potential for a shift differential.
- Monthly earnings average $1,900+; top 10% earn over $100,000 per year.

- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Load or unload freight, or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer.
- Deliver goods to the Northeast and New England regions.
- Operate day cab, sleeper, and 26' straight trucks as assigned.
- Handle 48'–53' flatbed, dry van, reefer, Conestoga, curtainside, and container trailers (1‑year flatbed experience required).
- Endorsements in hazmat, tanker, doubles/triples are required.
- Use equipment such as manual pallet jack, rollers, lift gate, and Moffett.
- Secure loads using strapping, tarping, and chaining (experience required).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements.
- Recency of experience: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the past 5 years, or 5 years within the past 10 years.
- Pass a Ryder drug test.
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including verification of prior employment for the last 3 years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
