Job Role

Learning Support Assistant in Secondary Schools role includes:

• Supporting students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in line with the National Curriculum
• Working closely with the Class Teacher to deliver tailored learning support
• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions as a TA
• Helping manage classroom behaviour and engagement

Learning Support Assistant in Secondary Schools applicants must have previous UK school experience and a passion for education. Experience supporting pupils in Primary School environments is highly desirable, as well as confidence working alongside a Class Teacher and acting in a TA capacity. The role requires familiarity with the National Curriculum, KS3 and KS4.

Essential:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Experience in UK schools
• Understanding of SEN support strategies
• Ability to work across Secondary School settings
• Confidence supporting a Class Teacher and acting as a TA
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and child development

This Learning Support Assistant in Secondary Schools position is based in Worcester, which is easily commutable from surrounding areas including Droitwich Spa, Malvern, Evesham, Pershore, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Stourport-on-Severn, with good transport links across Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands. The school also offers onsite parking.

Opportunities across Primary School settings are also available locally, giving exposure to both Secondary and Primary School environments while working alongside a Class Teacher and supporting as a TA in inclusive classrooms.
