Caretaker - Ysgol Rhostyllen

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well‑maintained at all times.

This position coincides with the cleaning role currently being advertised; the roles will be offered under two separate contracts, totalling 22.5 hours per week. You will need to apply for both vacancies.

• Opening and closing the school site, including securing buildings and grounds
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and basic DIY tasks
• Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of the premises
• Ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met
• Managing heating, lighting, and general facilities systems
• Conducting regular safety checks and reporting any issues
• Assisting with room setups for events and activities
• Liaising with contractors and external service providers when required

Will possess good practical skills and a basic knowledge of repairs and maintenance, along with a stong understanding of health and safety practices. They will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication and organisational skills.
