Position: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Rock River, Wyoming
Location: Rock River

Key

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with Visual Impairment endorsement
• Experience working with students who are blind or have low vision
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Familiarity with Braille instruction, assistive technologies, and adaptive materials
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to travel between school locations if required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction based on students' needs and IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum materials and provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify classroom environments and activities for accessibility
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Serve as a resource to families, faculty, and support staff regarding students' needs and effective strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and services provided
