Key

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability in meeting the varied needs of students
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction based on each student's IEP
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and confidence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support academic, behavioral, and social success
• Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development initiatives
• Adapt and modify curriculum and teaching strategies as needed
