This position calls for a skilled scientist responsible for planning and executing comprehensive aquatic health research across the NWT. You will engage with communities to share knowledge and findings while managing data interpretation and reporting on water quality. Your work will directly contribute to sustainable resource management and public understanding of aquatic ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement water quality monitoring programs
• Lead research and data analysis in aquatic sciences
• Manage and interpret water quality data effectively
• Compile proposals and manage contracts and budgets
• Engage and share findings with community stakeholders
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in environmental science with two years experience
• Undergraduate degree in environmental science with four years experience
• Experience in multidisciplinary water quality teams
• Familiarity with Indigenous communities in the NWT
• Proven ability to manage financial resources
