Job Description

Reporting to the Japan Director of IoT Sales & BD in Arm’s IoT Services Group and based in Shin Yokohama, the  Sales & Business Development Manager, IoT Services (Pelion Device Management service), Japan  is chartered with assisting in developing, accelerating and scaling Arm’s IoT services revenues and Pelion IoT Platform & Mbed adoption with lead players across Japan in concert with Arm’s ISG strategy and directions.

Working closely with ISG Commercial, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Marketing organizations the person is required to master the BU’s product lines and value proposition. The person is expected to proactively address technical and product people across several layer of the Japanese IoT value-chain mainly in the industrial space.

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrated 5+ years proven experience in selling services (SaaS model) of highly technical products to large scale corporations and operations
  • Experience and a solid network in multiple Industrial verticals (e.g., Smart City, Smart Buildings, Smart Grid, Industrial Automation, Smart Warehousing)
  • Strong preference to prior experience in addressing and monetizing IoT verticals and pertinent ecosystem (services/project and business models)
  • Working with large scale corporations mainly with IoT Services Products, Operations and Device Management including Security
  • Experience in selling highly complex products to technical stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate new and complex product offerings
  • Ability to develop, negotiate and close long sales cycle, large-scale and long term commercial agreements
  • Ability to develop, monitor and assist in addressing long and large-scale sales cycles
  • Startup mentality; highly motivated with problem-solving ability; self-starter with proven success in dealing with ambiguity
  • Organized and process driven
  • Experience in reviewing, negotiating and managing agreements
  • Customer-focused and Customer-sensitive; able to motivate team members and co-workers; able to influence positively; flexible and hard-working
  • Good communications and presentation skills; able to present to various stakeholders (external and internal)
  • Ability to synthesize multiple viewpoints, perspectives and opinions with objective and impartial analysis to solve problems, gain consensus, and drive decisions
  • Very strong English skills (oral and written)
  • Strong technical background and/or education
