As an Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the Scheme Manager to provide a supportive and caring environment for our occupants while ensuring that our staff team is supported. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Royd Court is an award‑winning housing scheme for older people, offering 58 one‑ and two‑bedroom flats set in beautiful grounds. The home provides a warm, friendly environment where occupants enjoy independence and the peace of mind that comes from a secure scheme with excellent personal care and support when needed.
Responsibilities- Support the Scheme by promoting a loving and caring environment for occupants;
- Provide administrative and practical support to the Scheme Manager;
- Assist the manager with staff management, recruitment, record‑keeping and administration;
- Respond to enquiries and arrange viewings for potential occupants;
- Lead and attend weekly devotions;
- Provide excellent customer service for visitors and manage guest rooms, including maintaining the diary;
- Perform other duties assigned by your managers from time to time that are within your capabilities.
- Administration experience in support services, ideally in a health or social setting;
- A positive attitude towards the organisation and its wider aims and objectives, fully agreeing with our doctrinal basis;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, occupants, visitors, and external stakeholders;
- Able to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines;
- Can work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and flexibility as required;
- IT literate;
- Willing to be flexible in the working pattern and prepared to participate in training and attend relevant staff meetings.

Hours28 hours per week over 4 days, with Saturday mornings (1 hour, periodically on a rota basis). On‑call cover is required on a rotating basis to meet demands.
