Quantity Surveyor

Our client is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team near Leeds. This is a contract role, ideal for professionals with experience in highway projects and a background in the contracting environment.

• Managing and overseeing multiple schemes within buildings and highways
• Administering contracts under JCT & ECC forms
• Preparing and managing budgets, cost forecasts, and financial statements
• Evaluating project costs and providing detailed cost analysis
• Conducting site visits to ensure project compliance and quality standards
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors for cost-effective solutions
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities

• Experience in quantity surveying within the highways sector
• Proficient understanding of JCT & ECC forms of contract
• Strong background in a contracting environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field

• Contract position with an anticipated duration of 6 months
