Overview

Material Verification & Quality Coordinator in West Yorkshire. Are you an experienced quality professional with a background in engineering or manufacturing? We are supporting a leading engineering organisation in the search for a Material Verification & Quality Coordinator to join their team working on complex, high-specification products within a regulated environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams, supporting material compliance, quality assurance activities, and technical documentation throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
  • Review and verify material and component documentation to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Assess material specifications, test certificates, and supporting quality documentation.
  • Support and maintain quality processes and management systems.
  • Manage quality concerns and non-conformance activities, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved effectively.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support the preparation of customer documentation.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal departments to investigate and resolve material or process-related issues.
  • Assist with auditing activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Produce reports and quality metrics to support operational performance.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience within quality, materials, manufacturing, or an engineering environment.
  • Experience working within recognised quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
  • Background in quality inspection, materials documentation, or technical compliance activities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical information.
  • Experience managing quality issues and non-conformance processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to regulated sectors such as defence, aerospace, automotive, rail, or heavy engineering.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes including material testing, heat treatment, machining, or inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering or quality standards.
