Overview

Most pensions administration leadership roles are built around keeping the engine running. This one is a bit different. I’m working on an Administration Manager opportunity with a business going through genuine transformation and growth across some of the most exciting and evolving areas of the UK pensions market. There’s an established operational leadership element to the role, leading teams, driving service delivery, improving member experience and overseeing BAU administration, but the real attraction sits beyond that.

This is an opportunity to help shape what comes next. The business is building out entirely new operational areas alongside major developments within their administration technology and future operating model. As a result, this role offers exposure to system implementation and migration, cross-functional change initiatives, trustee and stakeholder engagement, and building and shaping new teams from the ground up.

This is not a “steady-state” management role. We’re looking for someone dynamic, resilient and visible, comfortable operating across projects, contributing ideas, challenging constructively and helping drive meaningful change within a fast-moving environment.

What you’ll do
  • Lead teams, drive service delivery, and oversee BAU administration within a transforming operation.
  • Shape and implement new operational areas in parallel with administration technology developments and the future operating model.
  • Manage system implementation and migration efforts.
  • Lead cross-functional change initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders across functions.
  • Engage with trustees and key stakeholders to support governance and communications.
  • Build and grow new teams from the ground up to meet evolving requirements.
Who we’re looking for
  • Strong DB pensions administration experience is essential.
  • Experience with transformation, projects, implementations, or operational change is a significant advantage.
