Part-time Faculty, Social Work - Lakeland & Lorain CC Campuses

Summary of Position

Teach undergraduate or graduate courses face to face and online. Submit student outcome assessment results as requested.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

At least a Bachelor's degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program with a Master's degree in a related field or at least a Master's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program. Minimum of two years of professional social work practice experience. Experience in activities congruent with the subject matter being taught. Commitment to social work values as outlined in the NASW.Must

be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience at the college level or professional social work training experience. Experience supervising social work students enrolled in social work programs. Evidence of ability to engage students in learning social work subject matter.

Physical Requirements:

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.

Sedentary:work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other Sedentary criteria aremet.
