Position Overview

Gasser Chair is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the daily execution of key HR functions while helping drive continuous improvement within the Human Resources department.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role supports recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, payroll support, and HR projects. The Human Resources Generalist will partner cross-functionally across the organization to ensure HR processes are aligned with company objectives and contribute to a positive, productive workplace environment.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Staffing:
    Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding logistics.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
    Facilitate seamless onboarding experiences and manage separation processes while ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Benefits Administration:
    Assist with administration of medical, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, and wellness programs; support open enrollment and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Employee Relations:
    Address employee concerns, assist with investigations, and partner with leadership to resolve workplace matters in alignment with company policies.
  • Performance Management:
    Support annual performance evaluations and provide guidance to managers on effective feedback and documentation practices.
  • Policy Compliance & Documentation:
    Maintain employee records, ensure policy alignment with federal, state, and local laws, and assist with HR compliance initiatives.
  • HRIS & Data Management:
    Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS; generate reports and assist with HR analytics and workforce metrics.
  • Payroll Support:
    Provide support in payroll preparation, timekeeping accuracy, and pay-related inquiries.
  • Leave Administration:
    Assist with FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation coordination, and other leave-related processes.
  • Training & Development:
    Coordinate compliance training, leadership development initiatives, and employee skill enhancement programs.
  • Employee Engagement:
    Support recognition programs, company events, and engagement initiatives that foster a strong workplace culture.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and implement opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting payroll processing and benefits administration preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements

    This position is primarily office-based with regular interaction in manufacturing environments. The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer and standard office equipment, and periodically walk production areas. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required for events or materials. Minimal travel may be required.
