Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an International D&A and Master Data Specialist, located in Leeds, UK or Zug, Switzerland. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of master data across various commercial systems and applications. The specialist manages the end‑to‑end master data lifecycle, implementing best practices in data governance, protection, and compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR or other local data regulations.
The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders – Sales, IT, and compliance teams – to develop and maintain robust master data management processes, and aligning with International master data governance to ensure compliance to regional standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of master data across multiple platforms, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and implement data management strategies that comply with data protection regulations, including GDPR, while addressing internal business needs.
- Identify opportunities for data process enhancements and lead initiatives to implement solutions, including new consent collection approaches and system integrations.
- Utilize tools such as Power BI and Excel to create analytical reports and dashboards that provide insights into key performance metrics and drive business decision‑making.
- Participate in the implementation of new Master Data Management (MDM) systems, supporting testing, training, and data preparation activities for system migrations and integrations.
- Work closely with various departments to facilitate data alignment and accuracy, ensuring all teams have access to reliable master data for operational efficiency.
- Help establish and implement programs and innovative initiatives for the Data Governance & Master Data area, under general supervision.
- Contribute to components of projects, programs, or processes for the Data Governance & Master Data area.
- Develop control structures to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
- Support maintenance of commercial customer content, business glossary, data integration, data lineage, and data management activities.
- Ensure processes for data asset management, data quality, and issue resolution align with business needs and ensure clean and healthy data.
- Understand and apply Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day‑to‑day interactions with the team.
