Rochester Independent College in the County of Kent, just east of London, is a progressive alternative to conventional secondary education with a happily distinctive ethos. Accepting day students from the age of 11 and boarders from 16 the focus is on examination success in a lively, supportive and informal atmosphere. Students are encouraged to be themselves and achieve exam results that often exceed their expectations. The College has an atmosphere closer to university than school. Students enjoy being here and are treated as young adults. There is no uniform, no bells ring and everybody is on first name terms.

Students come to us from all over the UK andPhoto for Rochester Independent College - Boarding School in England, UK the world as well as the local area. By car, we are situated one hour from Gatwick and one & a half hours from Heathrow international airports. Airport pick ups are arranged at the beginning and end of each term by the College. The Eurostar terminal at Ashford with its direct links to Paris and Brussels is also only 30 miles away.

Courses / Programs:
Most full time students at the College are here to study one or two year A level courses in sixth form, GCSE courses in the Lower School, English as a Foreign Language (ESL), Visual and Creative Art courses or a combination of these. Many are taking subjects on first time courses, others may be taking resits. The average class size is eight.
