Summer Language / Activity Camps in Minnesota

The International School of Minnesota:
Experience a summer of adventure and fun in the heart of Minnesota! Situated in Eden Prairie MN, just 20 miles south-west of Minneapolis, The International School of Minnesota (ISM) provides a Summer Adventure Camp for boys and girls from preschool through to Grade 8. With a wide range of indoor activities and outdoor adventures available, campers also have the opportunity to take daily Spanish or French language classes, depending on which week they attend. Available over 9 weeks, participants are welcome to attend our summer camp for 1 week or several weeks. Full-day programs and half-day programs are available.

Summer Adventure Camp:
- For boys & girls from Preschool through to Grade 9
- Duration: Available over 9 weeks. Sign up for 1 week or several weeks.

With a great mix of indoor and outdoor programs, kids can find an activity they love or discover a new interest.

Explorers Camp:
- Ages 3½ / entering Grade 1
- Half-day morning or full-day programs available

• All 'Explorers' engage in daily language classes & cultural explorations in order to learn language basics and discover music, art and world traditions. This includes 4 weeks of Spanish immersion or 4 weeks of French immersion.

• Daily swimming activities in our indoor lap-sized learning pool.

• Classroom arts & crafts.

• Nature hikes on our beautiful campus trails.

• Outside activities include stream, pond, and lake exploration, fun on the playgrounds, 'Slip ‘n’ Slide', and lively outdoor camp games.

• Friday Beach Day.

• Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten-age Explorers enjoy an afternoon rest as well as playtime. 


Pioneers Camp:
- For students entering Grades 2-6
- Half-day morning, afternoon, or full-day programs available

• Pioneers take part in all camp activities, plus have a choice of optional 'Adventure Afternoon' activities.

• Daily Language Classes & Cultural Exploration (4 weeks of Spanish immersion or 4 weeks of French immersion)

• Daily swimming in our indoor lap-sized learning pool.

• Twice-weekly visits from 'KIDCREATE Studio' in our art room.

• Nature hikes explore the many nature trails on campus and Bryant Lake Park.

• Canoeing on Bryant Lake.

• Outside activities include stream, pond, and lake exploration, games and fun on the playgrounds, and exciting outdoor camp games like Capture the Flag.

• Friday Beach Day


Counselors in Training (CIT) Camp:
- For students entering Grades 7-9

This camp gives campers a feel for what it takes to be a counselor, while still participating in all camp activities.

These campers take a leadership role in the group, assisting camp counselors and teachers with activities and programs.

As a CIT, they will have the opportunity to develop skills and confidence that will help them to become effective leaders and positive role models.

- For students entering Grades 2-8. Options include:
