• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Diploma
Duration: Day classes - 4 weeks / Evening classes - 8 weeks / Weekend classes - 7 weeks After you receive a Certified Nurse Assistant Diploma from the Manhattan Institute, you will be trained to work in hospitals, medical or doctors' offices, home health agencies, and residential care facilities.
The employment outlook for Certified Nurse Assistants is a positive one. Employment of Certified Nurse Assistants is expected to grow rapidly in the next few years.

• Medical Assistant Program
Duration: Day classes - 5 months classrooms / 3 month externship. Evening classes - 9 months classroom / 3 month externship

• Phlebotomy Technician Program
Duration: Day classes - 4 weeks / Evening classes - 4 weeks / Weekend classes - 4 weeksAfter you receive a Phlebotomy Technician Diploma from the Manhattan Institute, you will be trained to work in hospitals, laboratories, medical or doctors' offices, home health agencies, research clinics, and blood banks.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of clinical lab workers, including Phlebotomy Technicians, is expected to grow as the volume of laboratory tests increases with both population growth and the development of new types of tests.
The Phlebotomy Technician Program at Manhattan Institute is designed to prepare you for employment in a growing occupation. We also provide a Phlebotomy and EKG (Combo) program.
• Medical Billing Program
Duration: Day classes - 2 weeks / Evening classes - 4 weeks / Weekend classes - 4 weeks
After you receive a Medical Billing Diploma from the Manhattan Institute, you will be trained to work in hospitals, medical or doctors' offices, medical billing companies, and medical insurance processors. Medical billing is essentially the process by which a doctor's office gets paid.
Every medical office needs to maintain patient financial accounts and arrange for collecting payment of services.
This involves understanding the different processes for billing insurance companies and patients. Although challenging at times, being a Medical Biller and Coder can be a very rewarding career.
• Pharmacy Technician Program
Duration: 6 weeks - weekend classes
Pharmacy Technicians help licensed Pharmacists provide medication, information, education, and other healthcare products to patients.
The Pharmacy Technician, also called a Pharmacy Tech, or Pharmacy Assistant usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication for patients, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles.
A Pharmacy Technician is not a Pharmacist, but works closely with the Pharmacist to assist him/her.
• EKG (Electrocardiogram) Technician Program
Duration: Day classes - 4 weeks / Evening classes - 3 weeks / Weekend classes - 4 weeks
EKG Technicians, or Cardiovascular Technicians, are an integral part of the management of patients with heart disease. EKG technicians use electrodes, which are attached to a patient's chest, and other specialized electronic equipment to obtain heart readings known as electrocardiographs or EKGs.
The Manhattan Institute also offers a Phlebotomy and EKG (Combo) program.
• Patient Care Technician Program
Duration: Day classes - 4 weeks / Evening classes - 7 weeks / Weekend classes - 7 weeks
The Patient Care Technician is a valuable member of the Allied Health Care Team. Because of the increasing shortage of trained health care professionals, hospitals are often using the Patient Care Technicians to handle patient care that was previous handled by other medical professionals.
The Patient Care Technician course is at the Manhattan Institute is designed for the Nursing Assistant/Aides who wants to move in their present employment - or improve their current skills and employment ability.
• Dialysis Technician Program
Duration: Day classes - 4 weeks / Evening classes - 6 weeks / Weekend classes - 6 weeks
Under supervision, Dialysis Technicians operate machines and perform dialysis on patients with acute or chronic kidney failure.
Dialysis removes waste products and fluids from a patient's blood and vascular system in patients whose kidneys are not adequately removing those toxins. Dialysis Technicians function under the direction of nurses and physicians.
• Personal Fitness Trainer:
Duration: Day classes - 5 months / 3 month externship. Evening classes - 9 months / 3 month externship.
Our Personal Fitness Trainer program consists of lectures as well as a guaranteed hands on externship at a local health club. The course is a 900 hour / 8 month comprehensive program (660 classroom hours, and a 240 supervised hands on externship).
