The American Association of Drugless Practitioners Certification & Accreditation Board, U.S.A. has granted IBAM full board professional accreditation and certification. 

IBAM has also formed an affiliation with the Australian Committee of Natural Therapies, Australia and New Zealand (ACONT).

Distance Education Bachelor Degree Programs:
Indian Board of Alternative Medicines offers two types of Bachelor degree courses:

2-Year Bachelor's Degree in Alternative Medicine:

- Compulsory Subjects (7):
Human Body Structure (Anatomy);  Human Body Function (Physiology);  Human Body Disorders (Pathology);  Description of Diseases & its Management (Practice of Medicine);  Natural Health Laws (Hygiene);  Medical Ethics & Laws (Medical Jurisprudence);  Women Diseases (Gynecology & Obstetrics).

- Elective Subjects (4):
Four alternative therapies of student's choice.

2-Year Bachelor's Degree in the following list of therapies:
Acupressure and Magnet Therapy, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Aura Healing, Bach Flower Remedies, Beauty Therapy, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Chinese (Traditional) Medicine, Chiropractic, Cupping Therapy, Dental Alternative Science, Diet and Nutrition, Electro Homeopathy, Feng Shui, Gem-Tele-Chromo Therapy, Herbal Medicines, Holistic Health and Nutrition, Hypnotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Indo Allopathy, Iridology, Kinesiology, Massage Therapy, Medical Astrology, Meditation, Naturopathy, Naturopathy and Yoga, Pranic Healing, Pyramid Healing, Radiesthesia and Radionics, Reflexology, Reiki, Sound and Music Therapy, Spiritual Healing, Tibetan Medicines, Yoga Therapy

The total number of subjects in any of the degree programmes listed above is eight.
