About Semidynamics
Semidynamics is a European deep-tech company specialized in high-performance, customizable RISC-V processor IP for AI, Machine Learning, and High-Performance Computing workloads. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Barcelona, we work with leading industry players in a fast-growing, international environment.

Role Purpose
The Procurement Manager owns the commercial relationship with Semidynamics' EMS partners and electronic component suppliers, with primary responsibility for securing the best commercial terms — cost, lead time, and payment conditions. The role protects margins, cash flow, and supply continuity as the company scales its product lines. Technical ownership of the EMS relationship sits with the Procurement Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and supplier selection

  • Define and execute the commercial procurement strategy for EMS partners and component suppliers.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP processes from tender through award.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers on unit cost, MOQ, payment terms, geographic risk, and financial health.
  • Own the commercial relationship with EMS partners' account managers, commercial teams, and capacity planners.
  • Own the Approved Vendor List (AVL) strategy and the Vendor Master File.

Contract negotiation and commercial terms

  • Negotiate and close supply agreements, pricing, SLAs, and capacity reservation.
  • Negotiate NPI quotes, tooling costs, volume ramp pricing, and production pricing gates.
  • Define contractual quality and delivery clauses (DPPM targets, On-Time Delivery) and associated remedies.
  • Ensure contracts carry RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals, and ITAR/EAR compliance clauses, and that NDAs and IP protection clauses are in place before any data is shared.

Cost, pricing and payment terms

  • Own BOM cost and the procurement budget; track Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and deliver savings targets.
  • Partner with Finance on payment terms, approval thresholds, and cash flow / DPO impact.
  • Run spend analysis to identify cost optimization and supplier consolidation opportunities.
  • Assess the commercial impact of change orders (ECOs) — cost delta analysis and renegotiation with EMS partners.
  • Manage spot buys, Last-Time-Buy (LTB) orders, buffer stock, and disposal of excess and obsolete inventory.

Logistics and trade setup

  • Establish the end-to-end logistics process from EMS and component sources to Semidynamics and its customers — Incoterms selection, freight forwarder tendering and rate agreements, customs clearance, duty and VAT treatment, and contractual delivery lead times.
  • Set up the APJ logistics flow from Asian EMS and supplier sites into EU and customer destinations, covering cross-border documentation, export control screening, and preferential trade agreement / duty optimisation.
  • Own logistics cost and performance — freight budget, landed cost per unit, on-time delivery, and claims for loss, damage, or delay.

Risk, compliance and claims

  • Manage supply continuity risk: single-source dependency, cost inflation, FX and tariff exposure.
  • Own escalation triggers — price increases, lead-time slips beyond two weeks, capacity constraints, force majeure.
  • Manage warranty and field-return cost exposure, claiming financial credits or re-work from EMS partners.
  • Ensure ethical sourcing and integrate ESG criteria into supplier selection.
  • Track and report commercial KPIs (PPV, On-Time Delivery, DPO, lead time) to management.
Requirements

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Economics; a Master's or specialized training in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing is a plus.
  • 5–8 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally within electronics, semiconductors, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Proven track record negotiating commercial terms and contracts with EMS partners (e.g. Flextronics, Celestica, Jabil) or equivalent component/board manufacturing suppliers.
  • Experience managing supply continuity risk and cost inflation in a fast-growing or scale-up environment.

Skills and knowledge

  • Strong command of contract management, sourcing strategy, RFQ/RFP, cost analysis, PPV tracking, and spend management.
  • Working knowledge of EMS…
