Tax Accountant

What You'll Do:

We are looking for a talented and motivated tax accountant to join our tax accountant team. The position is based in Barcelona and reports to the GL Tax team leader in Paris.

Main Responsibilities:

• Validation of all tax calculations for entities located in Europe and MEA with the assistance of local tax advisors

• Validation of all tax entries in SAP and all tax payments

• Performing reconciliations and analyses of the tax balance sheet and P&L accounts

• Tax audits:
  Assisting with local tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities

• Participation in monitoring tax regulatory compliance changes

• SOX controls:
  Verifying all SOX tax control documentation

• Tax documentation:
  Preparing of tax documentation required by third, internal parties and tax authorities

• Improvement of accounting and financial processes, by particularly through the optimization of tools and the automation of low-value-added tasks

• At least 3 years of experience in an international tax accounting department

• Highly organized, autonomous, rigorous, communication skills

• Fluent in English (Spanish and French will be a plus but not mandatory)

• Demonstrated attention to detail with proven accuracy

• Knowledge of SAP, SAP Brim, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Oracle (will be a plus but not mandatory)
