The intern supports the team in developing and managing relationships with printers and production partners for packs and books
.
They will take part in tracking production, quality control of books and stock, and organizing and archiving physical copies.
The goal is to help ensure production reliability, on-time delivery, and a consistent quality standard across all books and printed materials.
Main responsibilities1. Pack printing management (bookmarks, and development of the pack supplier network)
Contribute to developing and managing relationships with printers and production partners.
Help track key data: delivery dates, quote archiving, reprint follow-up, and stock management support.
Facilitate coordination between internal teams, printers, and external service providers.
Handle the receipt and follow-up of printers’ invoices.
2. Quality control of books and stock
Oversee quality control of books on receipt and in stock, working with the warehouse and printers.
Check that books meet requirements: print quality, cover, colors, pagination, finishing, binding, packaging, and overall condition.
Identify, document, and report any issues using a quality control form.
Help track corrective actions and complaints raised with suppliers.
3. Book archiving
Organize and maintain a physical archive of the different editions and versions of each book
.Clearly label archived copies: title, edition, print date, printer, and version number where relevant.
Ensure a reference copy is kept for each new production run.
Help create and update an archive log.
The intern will get hands‑on exposure to the entire book production chain, from file preparation through printing, receiving, quality control, and stock management.
They will also develop skills in supplier management, production tracking, quality control, logistics, and editorial project management
.
Currently studying for a Bachelor’s to Master’s degree (Bac +2 to Bac +5), ideally in one of the following fields:publishinggraphic productioncommunicationproject managementsupply chain / logisticspurchasingbusiness or management
An interest in the book, publishing, or printing industry is a plus.
Skills required
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Rigor and attention to detail.
Ability to manage several topics d command of Excel or Google Sheets and standard office tools.
Comfortable managing tracking tables and schedules.
Knowledge of printing, prepress, or the graphic production chain is a plus.
Fluency in French or Spanish, plus fluency in English.
Personal qualities
Rigorous and methodical.
Autonomous, while knowing when to seek approval.
Responsive and solution-oriented.
Comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders.
Curious, with a genuine interest in understanding how a book is made, step by step.
A strong sense of quality control.
Able to work in an operational environment and meet deadlines.
