Lead Software Engineer, Backend; Python​/Django

We're now looking for an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to lead our backend efforts — someone ambitious to grow, who codes daily, leads by example, and helps scale both tech and people.

What You’ll Do

• Be 100% hands-on: Build, maintain, and scale backend systems in Python/Django.
• Design architecture: Own backend architecture decisions, collaborating closely with our infra and security teams.
• Manage infrastructure: Work comfortably with AWS, especially RDS, ECS, and Kafka/MSK.
• Lead & mentor: Guide a growing team of backend engineers through mentorship, technical leadership, and hiring.
• Own your scope: Take full responsibility for projects — from design to deployment — with autonomy and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

• You’ve been the go-to backend expert for 8+ years, leading projects, owning architecture, and shipping code in scale-up environments
• Proven experience as Lead / Staff / Principal level
• Deep expertise in Python and Django — you’ve built and shipped impactful products
• Comfortable with AWS and containerized infrastructure
• Experience in team leadership — you’ve mentored others and led by example
• Ownership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills in English
• Bonus: experience or interest in AI development platforms like Cursor
