We are looking for a
** Senior Software Engineer
** to join our Life Sciences team in Barcelona. You’ll play a key role, as part of a cross-functional team, developing and delivering
** Cortellis Drug Discovery Intelligence**. This is a great opportunity to work in an agile environment, driving the front-end development of a product that truly makes an impact on the life sciences world.
** About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
*** Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.
* 2+ years of industry experience in Java (Spring Boot) and NodeJS, as well as developing backend RESTful services within a microservices architecture.
* Experience with SQL, Elastic search y AWS
* 2+ years of experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
* Good knowledge and understanding of Version Control tools (preferably Git)
** It would be great if you also had . . .
*** Experience of working within an Agile delivery environment.
* Experience running services in docker.
* Experience using Jenkins.
* Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services and APIs in a microservices architecture.
* Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
* Deploy and operate cloud-native applications on AWS, using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
* Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code, following backend best practices.
* Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems to ensure reliability and performance.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, QA, Dev Ops, and product teams.

** You will be part of a team of 6 Talented Software and QA engineers, working in close collaboration with a Solution Analyst, UX Designer, and Product Owner. As part of our Agile processes, you’ll play an active role in developing and delivering
** Cortellis Drug Discovery.
** Cortellis is a leading intelligence platform that provides high-quality, curated insights on drugs, targets, and bioactivity data — helping R&D teams accelerate early-stage research, identify new opportunities, and reduce risk in decision-making.
** Hours of Work
** This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Barcelona office.

This is a hybrid position, working form the office 2-3 days per week.
