We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Platform), based in Barcelona, Spain (hybrid mode of working).

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Platform), you will design and build a turnkey on-prem platform used in on-premisses, hybrid and air-gapped environments.

You will focus on reliability, automation, lifecycle management, and operational simplicity - turning complex infrastructure into a seamless product experience. While the platform leverages Kubernetes, this role is Linux and systems-first, with Kubernetes as one part of the broader stack.

This is a hands‑on engineering role with strong technical ownership and influence on architecture, quality, and engineering standards.

• Design and evolve a production‑grade software appliance
• Build reliable install, upgrade, rollback, and recovery workflows
• Create automation and guardrails that simplify operations
• Develop backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI)
• Improve observability, resiliency, and operational safety
• Support air‑gapped deployments and offline upgrades
• Collaborate with product, support, and customer‑facing teams
• Help shape engineering practices and technical direction

We are looking for a strong generalist engineer with deep experience in Linux systems and production environments, and some exposure to Kubernetes and container platforms. If your background aligns with many of the areas below, we encourage you to apply.

• Strong software engineering experience in backend, systems, or infrastructure development
• Deep hands‑on experience with Linux in production environments (troubleshooting, performance, networking, system behavior)
• Experience working with containers and Docker
• Practical familiarity with Kubernetes (concepts, basic operations, troubleshooting)
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible (or similar)
• Familiarity with API design and contracts (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI)
• A focus on reliability, maintainability, and operational quality
• Clear communication and collaborative problem solving

You will help create a platform that customers can trust to run reliably in complex, real‑world environments with minimal operational overhead. Your work will reduce infrastructure complexity and make powerful systems easier to deploy, manage, and support.
