Who are we?

EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities. Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and livable urban spaces. We connect public and private actors and provide them with access to markets, talent, finance and knowledge.

Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

The Applications Developer, working closely with the Software Developer Manager and the Technology team, contributes to the development and maintenance of a highly customised Net Suite environment. This includes workflows, custom records, and JavaScript based automation (Suite Script) that power core business operations. The role is centred on engineering and continuous improvement: designing and delivering scripts and automations, enhancing existing workflows, ensuring safe deployments, and keeping the system stable and scalable.

Day to day user support is handled by an external provider, allowing you to focus on technical implementation and automation. You will also contribute to the evolution of an internal applications agent that helps users self‑serve common requests, reducing manual work across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Suite Script development:
Build and maintain Net Suite customisations and JavaScript automations.
  • Workflow optimisation:
Create and improve approval flows, notifications, validations, and supporting scripts.
  • Technical implementation:
Deliver enhancements based on specifications defined by the Technical Lead and Business Process Owner.
  • Issue resolution:
Investigate and fix issues related to scripts, configuration, access, workflows, and approvals.
  • Automated testing & deployment:
Contribute to automated testing and deployment processes to ensure safe, repeatable releases.
  • Documentation:
Produce technical and user documentation to support consistency and autonomy.
  • Internal applications agent:
Help shape and improve an internal applications support agent (content, flows, integration points) to automate common requests.
  • Vendor management:
Manage the external provider responsible for Net Suite support and maintenance.
What you will bring along the way

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, solution oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. You pay attention to detail, enjoy improving processes, and take pride in delivering reliable technical solutions. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with colleagues, and feel comfortable working with structured requirements and technical guidance. You enjoy building tools, automations, and workflows that make internal operations smoother and more efficient.

An ideal candidate would strive to generate positive environmental and social impact in line with EIT Urban Mobility’s mission.
