Backend Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, with a focus on Python and C
• Work with both SQL and No
  
  SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Develop and deploy containerised applications using Docker
• Implement and maintain microservices architecture
• Debug and improve running systems to ensure stability and performance
• Optimise system performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Collaborate with Frontend developers, Dev Ops, and other stakeholders
• Own end-to-end development: from requirement analysis and design through to testing and deployment

Backend Development Experience 5+ years, with a track record of shipping scalable, production-grade systems

Programming Languages Strong hands-on Python skills; proficiency in C programming

System Architecture & OS Strong understanding of system architecture principles;
Experience with internal OS development;
Working knowledge of Linux OS

Database & Containerization Proficiency in both SQL and No

SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB);
Hands-on experience with Docker for containerisation

Architectural Patterns Experience with microservices architecture

Dev Ops & Infrastructure Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and on-prem infrastructure
