Product Design Director

At Factorial, we’re expanding beyond HR and Finance to include IT, Cloud, and Device Management—creating the first truly connected people and IT management experience. We’re looking for a Product Design Director to lead the design and growth from 0 to 5M ARR.

The role
As a Product Design Director, you’ll lead several product teams in close collaboration with Product and Engineering Directors. You’ll be responsible for building and developing a strong group of Product Designers focused on solving the real, day-to-day problems companies face, helping them reduce cost, time, and errors. You’ll manage a budget of roughly €3–4M, with the goal of identifying the biggest opportunities within your scope, designing the right team structure, and defining the long‑term vision and business plans for your area.

You’ll be expected to multiply the investment 2–3x year over year and launch new products from 0 to €1M in under twelve months. To achieve this, you’ll work closely with potential prospects and existing customers to understand problems first‑hand, and with other teams at Factorial, such as Sales and Customer Experience, to identify gaps, set business goals, and define our product vision.

As a Director, you’ll also contribute to the most strategic decisions across the product organization, working with other Product Leaders to align Factorial’s vision and business goals.

About IT
Our goal at Factorial in this space is to help companies manage everything related to devices, security, and access in a secure and automated way. We aim to connect the entire employee journey end‑to‑end, from the moment they join the company to the moment they leave. The idea is to ensure they receive all the tools they need to start working and that those tools are properly removed when they leave, guaranteeing security and cost efficiency for the company.

The purpose of opening this new vertical is to expand Factorial’s capabilities as a platform and move one step closer to our broader vision: helping companies be more efficient and make better decisions.

You are a good fit if

You have 7+ years of experience building digital products and at least 2+ years leading teams.

You have solid end‑to‑end design experience across research, ideation, interface design, prototyping, implementation, and validation. You combine strong attention to detail with a hands‑on approach, consistently shaping user‑centered and innovative products.

You work confidently with qualitative inputs, including direct customer conversations, as well as business data to uncover insights, identify opportunities and risks, and articulate clear decisions.

You know how to define long‑term product vision, think holistically, and translate that vision into scalable systems for your teams and final business impact.

You’ve built and developed talented teams, from recruiting top talent to nurturing long‑lasting relationships, setting expectations, giving feedback, planning growth, and making critical people decisions when needed.

You have strong cross‑functional experience, collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Customer Experience to ensure your solutions are feasible and aligned with business goals.

You know how to drive consistency across experiences through documentation, design systems, branding, and design best practices.

You stay up to date with the latest design trends and technologies to continually improve your team’s process and output.

You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in spoken and written English.
