Open Position Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics, Theoretical Cosmology/Gravitation

The Theory Group at the Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE), at the UAB Campus (Barcelona), invites applications for one Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics, Theoretical Cosmology/Gravitation, starting in Fall 2026 (or earlier). The appointments will be for two years, with a possible extension to a third year. The position is funded by the Severo Ochoa.

The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) is a public consortium of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, a public university) whose main objective is to carry out research and to contribute to the development of high energy physics from a theoretical, experimental and technological point of view. IFAE has the status of a “University Institute” attached to the UAB and its premises are within the campus of the University.

The candidates should have research expertise in Theoretical Physics, along the strategic lines of the Beyond the Standard Model and Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology groups (https://(Usted puede enviar una solicitud o contactar con nosotros por email usando el Buzón de Solicitud online de abajo) ) . These include physics beyond the Standard Model, formal aspects of quantum field theories, gravitation, gravitational waves, quantum sensing of fundamental backgrounds, cosmology and astroparticle physics.
